2022 Spring Turkey Season
Being an outfitter is a tough job! Long hours! Not much sleep! But sometimes it’s totally worth it when you get to meet so many great people. This years 2022 spring turkey season was truly one for the books. Many awesome birds bagged and so many memories made along the way. We got a bird to cross a 20 acre field and then a road! And he was running the whole way to us! Managed to reap the ole thunder chicken at 15 yards! Had another midday hunt that ended with a 23# bird. Spurs were non-existent! 1/2 inch at best! Beard? Well what was left was 3 inches! A great sit in the blind on a great day in the Turkey woods!!
If you remember the 6 mile buck from last year, Kim took the opportunity to give turkey hunting a try this year! Ended up getting her first turkey ever! Quite the start to a hunting career! First buck last November and now first Turkey! Congratulations Kim! Way to go!
And finally, I can’t forget about the boys from Arkansas!! Some of the nicest and honest people you could ever meet!! And man can they hunt turkey!!! Thanks and congratulations to Jamie, David, VJ, and Chris! There were even a couple misses!
